Houston's Homestead Rd. Site of Fatal Traffic Accident

Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 6600 block of Homestead about 2:25 a.m. on a Sunday morning early last month.

The victim was driving a white Dodge Durango at a high rate of speed, northbound on Homestead when she lost control of the vehicle. As she crossed an overpass, she hit a curb on the east side of the road, rolling the Durango and ejecting herself.

The victim, 42, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, reports say.
