Austin Pedestrian Accident Leaves One Dead

Early last month a 56-year-old woman was killed while she crossed East Riverside drive in Austin.

Reports say that the woman, whose name has been withheld, was crossing East Riverside Drive on foot when she was struck by a vehicle that was traveling eastbound. Emergency crews were called and the victim was transported to University Medical Center at Brackenridge Hospital where she was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Austin police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call APD Vehicular Homicide Unit Detectives at (512) 974-5520. This case remains under investigation.
