Pedestrian Killed on Austin Streets
Late last month Austin Police responded to an accident between a pedestrian and an automobile that left the pedestrian dead.
The accident, which occurred in the 1600 block of Exposition Blvd., reportedly occurred when the pedestrian, Courtney Griffin, 30, was walking near the west curb line in the 1600 block of Exposition Boulevard. Griffin was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
The suspect vehicle, a black BMW, was later found at 3018 Windsor Road. The suspect, Gabrielle Nestande, 23, was later found and arrested for Failure to Stop and Render Aid. Alcohol is suspected in the collision.
