Suspect Arrested in Fatal Traffic Accident at Houston's Harwin Ave.

A suspect has been arrested and charges have been filed in a fatal traffic accident at 10648 Harwin at the end of last month, reports say.

Nefi Cruz, 22, has been charged for an accident involving injury and intoxication manslaughter in the 176th State District Court. 

Reports say the male victim, Rodrigo Caballero Cisneros, 30, of Houston, was driving a black Ford Mustang eastbound on Harwin. The suspect, Cruz, was driving a silver Volkswagen Golf southbound on the West Sam Houston Parkway and ran a red light at the intersection. 

The Volkswagen then struck the Ford, causing it to spin and hit the concrete median on the south side of Harwin. Cruz fled the scene on foot, but was taken into custody by HPD patrol officers a short distance away. Cisneros died at the scene.
