Motorcyclist Dies In Austin Traffic Accident

Austin Police Officers responded to a serious injury collision in the 6000 block East Ben White Boulevard last month where a Honda motorcycle was traveling eastbound in the 6000 block East Ben White when it struck a Red Nissan, also traveling eastbound on East Ben White. 

The driver, Tony Ibarra, 32, and an unnamed passenger on the motorcycle sustained serious injuries, and were transported to University Medical Center at Brackenridge. Ibarra was later pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries.

Reports say speed and alcohol may be contributing factors. The driver was also not wearing a helmet. Police are still investigating and ask that anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call APD Vehicular Homicide Unit Detectives at (512) 974-4779.
