Houston's Southwest Freeway the Site of Fatal Traffic Accident

Late last month Houston police were called to the scene of a fatal traffic accident at 6100 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) in which a female driver was pronounced dead. 

The victim, whose identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, was driving a silver Kia Spectra traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the Southwest Freeway. She lost control of the vehicle and swerved into another lane.  A silver Jeep Wrangler then struck the Kia, killing the Kia's driver. 

The Jeep's driver was not injured and an investigation is continuing.
