Austin Pedestrian Killed

Reports say Austin Police responded to a serious injury collision at FM 2222 and River Place Boulevard involving a mortally wounded pedestrian. 

The accident occurred on FM 2222 and River Place Boulevard. A preliminary investigation shows that a Dodge Durango was traveling southbound and was heading through the green light when the pedestrian ran out in front of it and was struck. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The pedestrian's name was withheld, but he was listed as a 48 year old man. There was also no word on why the pedestrian ran into the street.
