Driver Dies in Car Wash
A North Carolina driver was attempting to put her car into an automated car wash last year when she suffered an accident and died. Reports say that Jolynn Banner, 59, tied to input a multi-digit code into the keypad at a Petro Express car wash when the incident occurred.
Ms. Banner should have simply rolled down her window to type in the code, but instead she opened the door of Pontiac. Evidently, as she stretched to input the number, her foot slipped off the brake and the car rolled forward. Since she was still half out of the car, the car moved forward and pinned her head between the car door and a brick wall.
She suffered severe injuries to her neck and head. Even after emergency crews were called to the scene, she was pronounced dead, reports say.
