Austin Police Officers responded to an auto-pedestrian collision in the 10400 block of the North IH 35 Northbound Service Road at the end of last month that killed one.
The accident occurred when a Silver Ford Taurus and a Silver Acura,
traveling northbound in the 10400 block of the N IH 35 Service Road at about 2 a.m. struck two pedestrains as they were attempting to cross the street.
The Pedestrians, Porsha Liegh Martin, 21, and Daniela Anders, 22, had evidently exited a vehicle that was parked on the shoulder of IH 35 proper and crossed to the east curb line of the service road. As
they attempted to cross back to the west curb line they were struck by the Ford Taurus and then hit by the Silver Acura. Both Martin and Anders were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision, but the investigation continues. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call APD Vehicular Homicide Unit Detectives at (512) 974-6981.
