Austin Motorcyclist Dies in Single-Vehicle Alcohol-Related Accident
Austin Police were called to investigate a motorcycle crash in the 400 block East Koenig Lane last month in which the operator of the motorcycle reportedly lost control of his machine and smashed into a concrete median.
Reports say the motorcycle, piloted by Lester Quisenberry, 56, was traveling westbound on US-
290 East approaching Koenig Lane when the driver lost control and struck the concrete median. He was reportedly unresponsive, but was still transported to University Medical Center-Brackenridge by Austin/Travis County EMS in serious condition. He later died from his injuries. Reports say alcohol was likely a contributing factor in the crash.
The investigation remained open and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call APD Vehicular Homicide Unit Detectives at (512) 974-8164.
