Tour Bus Accident Injures Christian Singers
An accident between a tour bus and tractor trailer shut down all northbound lanes of I-85 just over the Gaston County line in North Carolina, sending 10 people to the hospital early last month. The accident was reported just before rush hour early in July, forcing heavy back-ups for miles.
The bus, which is registered to Christian singers Mike and Kelly Bowling, was somehow involved in an altercation with the truck and several other vehicles, and an investigation was continuing.
Reports say that Christian singer Terah Crabb was on the bus with other Christian singers and the group was scheduled to perform at a concert in Barboursville, Va., Friday night. Crabb reportedly suffered a broken arm, but suffered no major injuries besides that.
Mike Bowling, who was also on the bus, was airlifted to a hospital, reports say. Paramedics from Gaston and Mecklenburg counties were called to assist with the other injured. Two victims were airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, and an additional eight passengers were taken to area hospitals with serious injuries, reports say.
