Auto Service Customer Pinned Between Two Cars Dies
A 59-year-old Texas man died recently after being pinned between two vehicles in a repair bay at Huckstorf Diesel Pump & Injector Service, in Franklin, TX, reports say.
The victim, Jon D. Stritesky, of Elkhorn, TX, stood between his pickup truck and a truck parked in front of his vehicle in the morning as technicians performed service on his vehicle. The mechanic working on Stritesky's truck inadvertently caused the vehicle to lurch forward, crushing Stritesky between the vehicles.
He was found unconscious and not breathing. A Huckstorf employee and Franklin paramedics unsuccessfully tried to resuscitate Stritesky, who was pronounced dead about 10:15 a.m.
After an autopsy, the cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to the torso. Police called the incident accidental and said no criminal charges are pending.
