5-Car Pileup Ends in Truck Hanging Over Guardrail

An Earth Care Waste Management truck was recently involved with five other vehicles in a pileup that occurred on Route 287 North in Mawah, New Jersey. Car Collides into Pearland Learning Center

On Tuesday afternoon, April 10, 2012, a woman was rushed to the hospital by LifeFlight after driving her vehicle straight into a Pearland business – the Huntington Learning Center located on FM 518 and Broadway. Texas Governor Rick Perry vetoed the Legislature's plan to ban text messaging for all drivers, calling the legislation "a government effort to micromanage the behavior of adults." Auto-Pedestrian Accident Kills Two

Austin Police Officers responded to an auto-pedestrian collision in the 10400 block of the North IH 35 Northbound Service Road at the end of last month that killed one.

The accident occurred when a Silver Ford Taurus and a Silver Acura,

traveling northbound in the 10400 block of the N IH 35 Service Road at about 2 a.m. struck two pedestrains as they were attempting to cross the street.

The Pedestrians, Porsha Liegh Martin, 21, and Daniela Anders, 22, had evidently exited a vehicle that was parked on the shoulder of IH 35 proper and crossed to the east curb line of the service road. As

they attempted to cross back to the west curb line they were struck by the Ford Taurus and then hit by the Silver Acura. Both Martin and Anders were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Austin Pedestrian Killed

Reports say Austin Police responded to a serious injury collision at FM 2222 and River Place Boulevard involving a mortally wounded pedestrian.

The accident occurred on FM 2222 and River Place Boulevard. A preliminary investigation shows that a Dodge Durango was traveling southbound and was heading through the green light when the pedestrian ran out in front of it and was struck. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Early Morning Collision Kills Motorcyclist

Austin Police Officers responded to a serious injury collision at Martin Luther King Boulevard and the Ed Bluestein Southbound Service road early in the morning in the middle of June to find a motorcyclist dead.

The incident occurred when a white Nissan Pathfinder driven by Ruben Banda Flores, 31, traveling eastbound on Martin Luther King Boulevard ran the red light at Ed Bluestein and crashed into a motorcycle driven by Randy Carter, 42.

Carter, who was traveling westbound on Martin Luther King Boulevard and was making a left turn onto the Ed Bluestein southbound service road, was struck and killed. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger on his motorcycle was transported to University Medical Center at Brackenridge with serious injuries.

Suspect Arrested in Fatal Traffic Accident at Houston's Harwin Ave.

A suspect has been arrested and charges have been filed in a fatal traffic accident at 10648 Harwin at the end of last month, reports say.

Nefi Cruz, 22, has been charged for an accident involving injury and intoxication manslaughter in the 176th State District Court.

Reports say the male victim, Rodrigo Caballero Cisneros, 30, of Houston, was driving a black Ford Mustang eastbound on Harwin. The suspect, Cruz, was driving a silver Volkswagen Golf southbound on the West Sam Houston Parkway and ran a red light at the intersection.

The Volkswagen then struck the Ford, causing it to spin and hit the concrete median on the south side of Harwin. Cruz fled the scene on foot, but was taken into custody by HPD patrol officers a short distance away. Cisneros died at the scene.

Houston's Southwest Freeway the Site of Fatal Traffic Accident

Late last month Houston police were called to the scene of a fatal traffic accident at 6100 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) in which a female driver was pronounced dead.

Fatal Traffic Accident at Houston's East Loop South

Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred mid-May in the 300 block of the East Loop South (East Interstate Highway 610 South).

A blue Infiniti G35 and a black Chevrolet Impala were traveling southbound on the East Loop South when the driver of the Infiniti failed to control his speed and struck the Impala from the rear. Both vehicles then struck the middle concrete barrier, causing the Impala to catch fire. The Impala's female passenger died at the scene and the Impala's driver was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The female victim, 25, of Houston was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The driver of the Infiniti fled on foot and remains at large.
